Alright, so yesterday I spent the day driving across the state of Michigan. I started in Michigan City, IN and drove to Port Huron, MI, a very boring drive. I got to my hotel and did some laundry, it’s been a long time since I’ve had to sit and watch my laundry as it washed and dried. Also, very boring. The highlight of my day was the jacuzzi in my bathroom. It was massive, or it seemed that way to me. I could float on my back without touching either end. Now that either speaks to how vertically challenged I am or how large the jacuzzi was, I’m leaning towards the latter. LOL 😀
Today, I took a ferry to Harsens Island and snuck onto a private community, just to take pictures of a couple lighthouses. I’m such a rebel…hahaha. Then I headed to Detroit, Motor City, a place I do not ever wish to return to again. Aside from the idiot driving I witnessed, some of the traffic lights and patterns were the most ridiculous I’ve come across to date, and the majority of the town looks like an abandoned factory town. It’s sad to see, and scary to drive through, areas of a city that was once so prosperous. I’m sure it’s not as bad as it looks but, it looks pretty bad.Â
It’s time for bed because tomorrow is Ford day and another drive across the state.
Much love…
